Indore: A unique protest has been done by Congress in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This protest was done in protest against the arrest of Hindu religious leader Chinmay Krishna Das in Bangladesh. Congress expressed its protest by tying the effigy of Bangladesh Prime Minister to a vehicle and taking it around the streets. The central government has been demanded to give an open warning to the Bangladesh government for the immediate release of Chinmay Krishna Das.

Regarding the protest against the Bangladesh government, Executive President of District Congress Seva Dal Vivek Khandelwal said that today the effigy of Bangladesh Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus was tied to a vehicle at Regal Square and taken around the streets, because atrocities against the people of Hindu community living in Bangladesh are continuously increasing. At the same time, the central government is feeding biryani to the exiled Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by giving her shelter here.

He said that the current head priest of ISKCON temple Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu was arrested from Chittagong, Bangladesh and many false allegations were made against him. After his arrest, the Hindus living there protested peacefully and radical Bangladeshis attacked them. They are being tortured in many ways. The bail plea of Prabhu Chinmay Krishna Das has also been rejected by the court there and he has been sent to jail.

The District Congress Seva Dal alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre constantly pretends to be pro-Hindu but when Hindus are attacked in other countries including Bangladesh, it hides its face. In protest against the arrest of Prabhu Chinmayanand, the Congress tied the effigy of Bangladesh Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus to a vehicle and took it around the city. A ‘Yagya’ will also be performed for the good sense of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Government so that it may gain wisdom at the earliest and give a befitting reply to the Bangladesh Government against the harassment being faced by Hindus in Bangladesh and ask the elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina to immediately leave the country.
