Roorkee: The safety of Indian Railways and its passengers is being constantly compromised and these incidents are increasing day by day. Now a conspiracy has been hatched to crash a train in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. An LPG cylinder has been found on the track here. The police is trying to find out whether this was done as a conspiracy or there is some other reason for it. The serious thing is that where this cylinder was found on the track, there is a whole Army Cantt on one side.
The incident of LPG cylinder being found on the railway track in Roorkee, Uttarakhand has once again raised serious questions on the railway and its security. The matter came to light when the loco pilot of a goods train informed the railway officials that an LPG cylinder was lying on the track between Landhaura and Dhandhera stations.
At 6:35 am, the loco pilot of the goods train (BCNHL/32849) informed the Roorkee station master that an LPG cylinder was placed on the track between Landhaura and Dhandhera stations. The incident took place at a distance of about one kilometer from Dhandhera station. The pointsman reached the spot and examined the cylinder and found that the cylinder was completely empty. Later it was placed under the supervision of the station master.
The area where the cylinder was found is surrounded by a residential colony and the boundary wall of the Army Cantt. This area is very sensitive from the security point of view, which raises the question whether the cylinder being found on the track could be part of a conspiracy or an accidental incident?
The local police and GRP were informed as soon as the incident was reported. An FIR is being registered at the Civil Lines/Roorkee police station to investigate the matter, and the police are trying to find out whether it was a conspiracy or there is some other reason behind it.
