UP: What is there in the survey report of Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal? Know

Sambhal. The dispute between Shahi Jama Masjid and Harihar Temple in Sambhal has been going on for years. Recently, the report of the survey conducted inside the mosque has been presented in the court in a sealed envelope. It is being told that more than 50 flower artifacts, two banyan trees, a well and an iron chain for hanging a bell between the domes have also been found inside the mosque, in which a chandelier has been hung at present. Apart from this, the structure of the temple has also been changed.

About one and a half hours of videography was done inside Shahi Jama Masjid on November 19, while videography was done for about three hours on the second day. During this time about 1200 photographs were taken. The survey report of the Advocate Commission was presented in a sealed envelope in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh. Advocate Commissioner Ramesh Raghav has presented this report in the court. This report has found a lot of evidence of a temple in Shahi Jama Masjid.

50 flowers, banyan trees, well also present
According to sources, more than 50 flower marks/artefacts related to Hinduism have been found inside the mosque in this report. There are two banyan trees inside the mosque. Usually, banyan trees are worshipped in Hindu temples only. Not only this, there is also a well in the mosque, which is half inside and half outside. The outside part has been covered.

Old structure replaced, claim in the report
Not only this, it has also been said in the survey report that the old structure has been replaced. Part of the dome has been plane. Also, evidence of new construction has been found at that place. Plaster has been applied and painted on the structure shaped like a temple. Inside the mosque, where there is a big dome, the chandelier has been hung with a chain tied to a wire. Such a chain is used to hang the bells of the temple.

The doors of the temples were plastered and painted
According to sources, symbols have also been found in the disputed site which were made in the temples and shrines of that era. The doors, windows and decorated walls of the temple have been plastered and painted, which has hidden the old construction.

Violence erupted during the survey in Sambhal
Let us tell you that it has been claimed about the Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal that it was a Harihar temple in ancient times. A petition was filed in the civil court regarding this on 19 November 2024. On the same day, Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh had issued an order to conduct a survey inside the mosque. The court appointed Ramesh Singh Raghav as Advocate Commissioner. On the same day, at around four in the evening, the team reached the mosque for the survey and conducted the survey for about two hours. However, the survey work was not completed that day. After this, the survey team reached Jama Masjid on 24 November. The survey was being conducted inside the mosque in the afternoon, during which a large number of people gathered. The crowd threw stones at the police team, after which there was chaos. Five people died in the violence that took place during this time.
