UP: Stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express near Ayodhya once again, window panes broken

Ayodhya. Once again a case of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. This time mischievous elements have done it in Ayodhya. Stones were again pelted on Vande Bharat train passing from Ayodhya Cant to Anand Bihar Delhi between Sohawal and Devrakot station under Raunahi police station area. Due to stone pelting, the glass of one of the coaches of the train has been broken. This created panic among the passengers. At the same time, RPF reached near railway gate Parshurampur and kept searching for the miscreants for hours. RPF engaged in investigation is now waiting to get the video of the incident from the headquarters.

It is alleged that on Saturday afternoon, train number 22425 Up Vande Bharat left for Lucknow from Ayodhya Cantt at 3:20 pm. After this, the train crossed Sohawal station at 3:34 pm. Just two minutes later, at 3:36 pm, before reaching Devrakot station, someone threw a stone at the train. When the train reached Lucknow, an investigation was conducted regarding the safety of the train. It was told that a stone was thrown after the train passed through Sohawal station. Due to which the glass of a coach has cracked. After this, when the train reached Anand Bihar from Lucknow on Saturday. After 11 pm, the RPF got information about the incident. After this, the RPF came into action.

On Sunday afternoon, RPF Inspector Ayodhya Cantt Naseem along with his fellow police personnel reached Parshurampur village around Sohawal station and investigated other places. However, the local police and the station superintendents of both Sohawal and Devrakot stations have no information about the incident. In the first week of November last year, 2023, stones were pelted on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat train between village Lakhouri and Veerbhanpur Madhya. RPF Inspector Ayodhya Cantt Naseem said that the CCTV footage installed in the train is awaited. After getting the video footage from the headquarters, the spot and the stone pelter will be searched.

On October 2, miscreants had pelted stones on Vande Bharat Express going from Varanasi to Delhi in Kanpur. Due to which the glass of a coach broke. This frightened the passengers. At the same time, joint teams of RPF and GRPF were engaged in patrolling around Panki station.
