Salman and his family have received several threatening letters and messages in 2022 and 2023, after which Salman has been given all the weapons and security personnel by the Mumbai Police. Salman has also been given a personal weapon license so that he can protect himself. There is also tight police security around his house 24 hours a day in three shifts.
