‘This is the new India, it enters the house and kills’, PM Modi reminded of surgical strike in Jammu election rally

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a huge public gathering in Jammu and paid tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. He called this gathering his last gathering for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. PM Modi said that in the last few weeks he got the opportunity to visit various parts of Jammu and Kashmir and wherever he went, he saw a lot of enthusiasm for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Prime Minister targeted the Congress, National Conference and PDP and said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the politics of these three families. He said, “The people here no longer want terrorism, separatism and bloodshed. They want a better future and peace for their children. This is the reason why people are supporting the BJP government.”

Referring to the heavy voting in the last two phases, PM Modi said that it has become clear that the mood of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is in favor of the BJP. He claimed that the first BJP government with full majority is going to be formed in the state.

The Prime Minister made a special appeal to the people of Jammu and said, “Never before in history has such an opportunity come as in this election. For the first time, a government of the wishes of the people of Jammu region is going to be formed. This opportunity is important for the city of temples, and it should not be missed.”

PM Modi assured that after the BJP government is formed, it will remove every pain of the people of Jammu. Referring to Navratri and Vijayadashmi, he said, “Election results will be declared on October 8, the day of Maa’s Navratri, and this time Vijayadashmi will be an auspicious beginning.”

In his address, he recalled the surgical strike of 2016 and said, “Surgical strike took place on this very night. India had told the world that this is the new India, which enters the house and kills.” He accused the Congress of asking for proof of the surgical strike and said that even today the Congress speaks the language of Pakistan on this issue.

Raising the issue of One Rank One Pension, PM Modi accused the Congress of ignoring the interests of the army families. He said that the BJP government implemented OROP after coming to power in 2014 and always kept the interest of army families paramount.

The Prime Minister continued his attack on the Congress, NC and PDP, saying that these parties acted as the biggest enemies of the Constitution. He said that many families living here for generations did not have the right to vote, and the Congress and its allies are responsible for this.

At the end of the meeting, Modi said, “In Jammu, Samba and Kathua, only one slogan is echoing everywhere – Jammu ki yahi pukaar, BJP government is coming.” He expressed confidence that Jammu and Kashmir is going to write a new chapter in this election, and the BJP government will solve all the problems of the state.
