New Delhi: Mumbai Traffic Police on Wednesday arrested a 56-year-old man. He had allegedly sent a message threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Maharashtra NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui if they did not pay Rs 2 crore. According to the information received, Azam Mohammad Mustafa had sent a threatening message on the WhatsApp helpline number of the traffic police on Tuesday, saying that both of them would meet the same fate as former state minister Baba Siddiqui and Zeeshan Siddiqui’s father and his warning should not be taken as a joke.
Let us tell you that Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three gunmen in Bandra area on October 12. After receiving the message, Worli police has registered a case against an unknown person and started investigation. Some people have also been arrested. The officer said that on Wednesday they arrested Mustafa, a resident of Blue Fame Apartment in Bandra (West). This is a posh area. The mobile phone and SIM card used in the crime have been recovered from Mustafa.
During the investigation, the police collected the call detail record (CDR) of the mobile number from which the message was sent and formed a team to solve the case. He said that based on technical information, they arrested the accused from Bandra.
Mustafa had said in his message to the traffic police, ‘This is not a joke, how Baba Siddiqui was killed, the next target is Zeeshan Siddiqui and Salman Khan will also be shot there.’ It was further written, ‘Tell Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui to give Rs 2 crore if you want to save your life, do not take it as a joke or any joke will be revealed on October 31. Warning to Zeeshan Siddiqui and Salman Khan.’
Earlier this month, the WhatsApp helpline desk of Mumbai Traffic Police received a threatening message in which Rs 5 crore was demanded from actor Salman. After this, the police arrested a person from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand in connection with the threatening message.
