Jaipur: A major accident took place after a dangerous collision between an LPG truck and a CNG truck near a petrol pump in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. In this fire, more than 40 vehicles caught fire one by one. During this, a bus full of passengers also caught fire and 7 passengers in it were burnt alive and more than 40 people are reported to be injured. According to the information, 5 dead bodies and 37 burnt people have reached Jaipur Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
‘Fire all around…’
Sunil, an eyewitness of the accident, while talking, has explained the entire horrific scene. Talking about the incident, the eyewitness said, “We were coming from Rajsamand to Jaipur. Suddenly a blast occurred right next to our bus. There was fire all around us and fire had also come inside the bus.” He further said that when we tried to get out, we found that the main gate was locked. After this, we broke the window and got out. 8 to 10 more people came out with us. Some people were left inside and some people also got burnt.
Relief work continues
On the fire incident, Jaipur DM Jitendra Soni said, “Around 40 vehicles were engulfed in fire. After getting information about the accident, fire brigade and ambulance reached the spot. Relief work is going on. The fire has been controlled and now only 1-2 vehicles are left. About 23-24 people have been injured in this incident.”
Accident happened on Jaipur-Ajmer highway
This fire incident happened at around 6 am on Jaipur-Ajmer highway passing through Rajasthan. 20-22 fire engines are engaged in controlling the fire, but even after two and a half hours, the fire could not be extinguished completely. From this, it can be guessed how terrible the accident must have been. The situation was such that many vehicles got caught in the fire after both the vehicles were carrying inflammable material. This scene of devastation spread over a stretch of highway of about one kilometer.
