The accused in Mushtaq-Sunil kidnapping case extorted ransom from 10 artists of the film industry, the next target was Shakti Kapoor

Meerut. Former councillor Ricky alias Sarthak has been arrested from Bulandshahr in the kidnapping case of comedian Sunil Pal and actor Mushtaq Mohammed Khan. During interrogation, the accused told the police that his gang has kidnapped ten artists of the Mumbai film industry in the name of a fake event company and collected ransom.

After kidnapping Mushtaq Khan and Sunil Pal and collecting ransom, the next number was actor Shakti Kapoor. Shakti Kapoor told the criminals to deposit one lakh rupees in his bank account online in advance for the booking, while the criminals were adamant on depositing only 50 thousand rupees. While the conversation was still going on, the kidnapping of Sunil Pal was revealed. This information has been given to the police by the accused former councillor Ricky alias Sarthak, who was arrested in Bulandshahr on Friday. The police has also recovered the car used in the incident on the basis of the information given by the accused.

On November 20, actor Mushtaq Khan was kidnapped and on December 2, comedian Sunil Pal was kidnapped and ransom of about 10 lakhs was collected by the criminals of Bijnor. After the main accused of kidnapping Arjun Karnwal, Azim and Saifu, the police has arrested the fourth accused Ricky alias Sarthak from Bulandshahr. During interrogation by Meerut and Bijnor police, accused Ricky revealed the activities of his fake event company.

Mastermind Lavi Pal alias Lavi Chaudhary used to talk to the artists of Mumbai by posing as Rahul and used to send advance money and air tickets in the name of booking. The criminals of Bijnor have kidnapped more than ten artists including Sunil Pal, Mushtaq Khan, Rajesh Puri and carried out ransom collection. After Shakti Kapoor, Lavi Pal had planned to kidnap another actor. The police is also surprised to hear the words of Ricky alias Sarthak Chaudhary. Police raids are continuing in search of the absconding accused.

Lawi Pal’s Scorpio and another car were used in the kidnapping case. Bijnor police has recovered a car used in the incident. The location of the miscreants is found in Prayagraj. A police team has left for Prayagraj in search of them. Bijnor police has also camped in Delhi, Uttarakhand.
