Terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, 2 workers working in the tunnel killed

Ganderbal: Terrorists shot dead two migrant workers in Sonamarg area of ​​Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening. The attack took place near an under-construction tunnel. Security forces have been sent to the spot to secure the area and start investigation. Initial investigation revealed that the workers who were attacked were part of the construction team working on the Z Morh tunnel, which connects Gagner to Sonamarg in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.

Teams of security forces have reached the site of the attack and cordoned off the area, and a search is on for the terrorists. The incident took place two days after a migrant laborer hailing from Bihar was allegedly killed by terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Locals saw the body on the roadside on Friday morning and then the laborer was identified. He was immediately rushed to a nearby district hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Incidents of non-locals being killed by terrorists have raised concerns in the region. In April too, two non-local labourers were killed by terrorists. Earlier this month, an Indian Army jawan was found dead after being shot after being abducted by terrorists in Anantnag district. On October 8, two soldiers belonging to the 161 unit of the Territorial Army were abducted. Although one of them managed to escape, he too was hit by two bullets.
