Congress keeps accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central government of winning elections from Lok Sabha to Assembly Elections by tampering with the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). However, its ally in Maharashtra, NCP (Sharad Pawar) has clearly said that it is not right to make allegations without proof. Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule has given this statement. Many meanings and interpretations are being drawn from her statement.

Baramati MP and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule said on Wednesday that she cannot make any allegations on the Electronic Voting Machine without solid proof, but she also said that discussion on this issue is necessary because other parties have claimed to have evidence of tampering in EVM. “I think it is not right to make allegations unless I have concrete proof. I have won four elections earlier through EVMs,” Sule told reporters during her visit to Pune.

However, she also mentioned that several people and political parties, such as the BJD and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have claimed that they have proof of EVM tampering. Supriya Sule said that BJD MP Amar Patnaik had sent her some data through a letter on Tuesday to support his protest against EVMs. However, she did not reveal much on the details of this data.

The statement comes at a time when several opposition parties are making public their concerns and allegations against EVMs and questioning the transparency of the electoral process.
