Ujjain: Trial of India’s first General AC train Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Vande Metro) has started. The train was successfully trialed on Ujjain’s Mahidpur Road. This train ran at a speed of 145 KM per hour. According to information received from railway administration officials, this train was run at a maximum speed of 145 km per hour between Mahidpur Road and Shamgarh on the Kota-Nagda rail section.
During the trial, 24.5 tonnes of weight equivalent to passengers was placed in all 16 coaches of the train. During the trial, the speed and braking system were specially checked. Officials called the trial completely successful. This trial will run for 15 days. More necessary equipment was installed in the train on Sunday. Railway officials have informed that the train was run at a maximum speed of 180 km per hour during the trial.
