Students relied on GPS, suddenly the bridge ended and the car fell down, 3 died

Bareilly. Trying to reach the destination by relying on the GPS system can also be the last moment of someone’s life. A car met with an accident in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Due to which 3 friends travelling in the car for a wedding ceremony died. The family members claim that the accident happened due to the GPS system. Because the car was going with the help of GPS system.

Regarding the accident, the police said that three people died on Sunday when a car fell from the bridge into the Ramganga river. Police suspect that the driver went on an unsafe route due to the GPS system. The accident took place on the Khalpur-Dataganj road at around 10 am, when the victims were going from Bareilly to Dataganj in Badaun district.

Circle Officer Ashutosh Shivam said in the case that the front part of the bridge fell into the river due to floods earlier this year, but this change was not updated in the system. Police said that the driver was using the navigation system and did not realize that the bridge was unsafe, due to which the car fell down from the damaged part.

Shivam said that there were no safety barriers or warning signs on the way to the damaged bridge, due to which this fatal accident happened. On receiving the information, police teams from Faridpur, Bareilly and Dataganj police stations reached the spot. After which the vehicle and the bodies were taken out of the river.

Police said that villagers had reported the car falling down from the bridge. After which the police reached the spot and took out the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. The family members who reached the post-mortem house have also claimed that all the people in the car were going relying on GPS. When the car was going on the bridge, suddenly the bridge ended halfway. Due to which the car fell several feet down into the river. The family members are also blaming the departmental officials in the case, because the bridge was left incomplete and no barricades were also installed.

Car fell from a height of 50 feet
The accident took place on the incomplete bridge connecting Faridpur-Badaun’s Dataganj on the Ramganga river in Faridpur police station area. According to the information, the three car passengers were Kaushal Kumar, a resident of Mainpuri, Vivek Kumar of Farrukhabad and Amit. The car was coming from Dataganj. During this time, the car climbed the incomplete bridge and then fell into the river as soon as the bridge ended.
