New Delhi: An earthquake of 6.7 magnitude has struck Japan’s Kyushu Island. After this earthquake, Japan has issued a tsunami warning. This is the second major earthquake so far this year.
Earlier, a devastating earthquake struck Tibet. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, strong tremors of the earthquake were felt in southwestern Japan. Its magnitude is 6.7. So far, there is no information about any kind of damage or casualties due to this earthquake.
According to the country’s Meteorological Agency, this earthquake occurred at 9:19 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was the southwestern island of Kyushu. A tsunami alert has been issued for this island as well as the surrounding areas. Earthquakes often occur in Japan.
