After the release of the documentary, Salman Khan has spoke about making a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Sholay. Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra’s film ‘Sholay’ has been written by the hit pair of Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Amjad Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Hema Malini were seen in the film.
Salman wants to remake these two films
In a special conversation with filmmaker Farah Khan, Salman Khan said that he would like to remake Sholay. Farah Khan asked Salman that if he had to remake any film of Salim-Javed, then which film would he make? On this, Salman Khan named Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Sholay’ and ‘Deewar’.
What did Salman Khan say on the question of Jai-Veeru and Gabbar?
On Salman Khan’s answer, Farah asked him whether he will be Jai or Veeru in the film? The rest of the audience sitting said that he will be Veeru. However, Salman Khan said that he can play the role of both Jai, Veeru and also play the role of Gabbar.

Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra’s film Sholay was released in the year 1975. Salim Khan revealed about the film and said that when the film was being made, all the male actors had expressed their desire to play the role of Gabbar. Salim Khan told that everyone used to go to the film’s director Ramesh Sippy and tell him that I will do this role. However, later Gabbar’s role in the film was played by Amjad Khan.
