Sahil and Muskan are desperate to meet each other, the officials did not accept this special demand of both of them

Meerut: Muskan, who killed her husband Saurabh along with her lover, is currently lodged in Meerut District Jail with Sahil. However, both have been kept in separate barracks, due to which they are not able to meet each other. It is being told that both had requested the jail administration to stay in the same barrack, but according to the jail manual this was not possible. For this reason, the jail administration allotted new separate barracks to both of them.

It is being told that both Sahil and Muskan are trying to meet each other, but the jail administration has made it clear that according to the rules this is not possible. Jail officials say that the demand of any prisoner is considered keeping in mind the rules of the jail. At present, Muskan and Sahil will have to stay in separate barracks and serve their sentence.

The Meerut District Jail Administration has assigned work to Muskan and Sahil as per the jail rules. Both of them expressed their desire to work inside the jail according to their interest, which was accepted by the jail administration. Muskan demanded to learn sewing and embroidery work, while Sahil expressed his desire to do farming. According to the jail administration, both will be included in the work according to their interest.

Muskan will learn sewing and embroidery
Muskan had expressed her desire to learn sewing and embroidery to the jail administration. The administration has approved to give her this training. She will be given complete training of sewing in the jail itself, so that she can become proficient in this skill. After completion of the training, Muskan will be able to sew various clothes, which can give her employment opportunities in the future.

Sahil will get training in farming
Sahil had expressed his desire to do farming, which has been accepted by the administration. He will be given training to grow vegetables and fruits. He will work in the fields located in the jail premises and the vegetables grown by him will be used for the food of other prisoners in the jail. In return, he will get a wage of Rs 50 per day.

Work is available after 10 days
Senior Jail Superintendent of Meerut District Jail, Viresh Raj Sharma, said that under the jail rules, any prisoner is allotted work after completion of 10 days. Both Muskan and Sahil will start their chosen work from April 1. This process is part of the prison reform system, which aims to provide skills to the prisoners and keep them busy.

There are three types of work for prisoners in jail
Skilled work: This includes those works which require some skill, such as sewing, carpentry, sculpture etc. Non-skilled work: This includes such works which can be done without any training, such as cleaning, farming etc. Training: In this, prisoners are given training in some new skill, so that they can become self-reliant in future.

Sahil will get Rs 50 per day as wages, Muskan will not
Sahil has been put to farm work, which is considered a ‘non-skilled worker’ under jail rules. In return, he will get a wage of Rs 50 per day. If he is unable to do farming, he will be put to some other work. On the other hand, Muskan has opted to learn sewing and embroidery. Since this comes under the category of training work, she will not get any wages for this. However, when she becomes fully proficient in sewing work and starts sewing clothes, then arrangements can be made to pay her salary.
