Riot erupts again in Nuh, girl burnt alive, police deployed after tension

New Delhi: On Friday evening, there was heavy stone pelting between two parties in Laharwadi village in protest against the police not arresting the accused involved in the murder case and settling the absconding accused in the village. In this conflict, a girl died due to fire. While the victim’s side is accusing the accused party of murder regarding the girl’s death, the other side is saying that the girl committed suicide. At present, the police is not ready to say anything about this. There is an atmosphere of tension in the village after the incident. A large number of police force is present to maintain peace in the village.

According to the information, a youth named Rizwan was killed in a dispute over dumping of soil in Laharwadi village eight months ago. Punhana police had registered a case against 35 accused in the case. After the incident, the people of the accused party fled from the village, for whose arrest the victim’s family was repeatedly demanding. The police arrested two accused a few days later, but the victim’s family was constantly demanding the police to arrest the other accused.

It is being told that on Thursday both the parties were called to the DSP office for investigation. The victim’s side demanded the arrest of the accused but some people of the village demanded that the accused be called back to the village. On Friday, when the people of the accused party came to their house in the village in the presence of the police, the victim’s family protested. During this, there was an altercation between the two sides and stone pelting also took place. In this conflict, a girl died due to fire.

According to the brother of the deceased girl, Nisar, during the stone pelting, the accused poured petrol on his sister Shahnaz and set her on fire, in which his sister was completely burnt. The girl died on the spot due to burning in the fire. The deceased girl was handicapped. She was divorced and was living at her father’s house for a long time. At the same time, the other side is calling it self-immolation. There is tension in the village after the girl’s death. The matter is being investigated. At present, heavy police force has been deployed to reduce tension in the village.
