New Delhi. According to Ratan Tata’s will, he has donated a major portion of his property. His total assets are estimated to be around Rs 3,800 crore, which includes shares of Tata Sons and other assets. Most of it has been donated to ‘Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation’ and ‘Ratan Tata Endowment Trust’, which will be used for social service.
Former employee of Tata Group also got Tata’s wealth
According to a news, one-third of his other assets (about Rs 800 crore), which include bank FDs, financial instruments, watches and paintings, will go to his half-sisters Shirin Jejeebhoy and Dina Jejeebhoy. One-third will go to Mohini M Dutta, who was a former employee of Tata Group and was close to Ratan Tata.

Property and three guns to close friend
Ratan Tata’s brother Jimmy Naval Tata (82 years) will get a share of the Juhu bungalow, while his close friend Mehli Mistry will get the Alibaug property and three guns (including a .25 bore pistol).
Fund of Rs 12 lakh for pets
Ratan Tata has created a fund of Rs 12 lakh for his pets, from which each animal will get Rs 30,000 every three months. His assistant Shantanu Nayakudu’s student loan and neighbour Jake Mallette’s interest-free education loan have been waived off.
Ratan Tata’s foreign assets (worth about Rs 40 crore) include land in Seychelles, bank accounts with Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley, and shares in companies. His 65 precious watches (Bvlgari, Patek Philippe, Tissot etc.) are also included in the property.
According to his will, the land in Seychelles will be given to ‘RNT Associates Singapore’. Jimmy Tata will get silver items and some jewellery, while Simone Tata and Noel Tata will get the rest of the Juhu property.
When will the property be divided?
While giving the bungalow in Alibaug to Mehli Mistry, Ratan Tata wrote that Mistry had a major contribution in building this property and hoped that this place would remind them of the happy moments spent together. The property will be divided only after the will is confirmed in the court, which may take up to 6 months.
