New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Nagpur. He was welcomed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and many other leaders at Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. This Nagpur visit of PM Modi is going to be special in many ways. Because during this time PM Modi will pay tribute at the memorial of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Dr. K. B. Hedgewar and will pay homage to Dr. BR Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi. This visit of PM Modi is taking place on the occasion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh celebrations on the occasion of Gudi Padwa festival.
Prime Minister Modi will also visit Deekshabhoomi, where in 1956 Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar adopted Buddhism along with thousands of followers. During this, he will pay tribute to Ambedkar’s thoughts and his contribution to social reform.
Tight security arrangements
Keeping in mind Prime Minister Modi’s Nagpur visit, the Special Protection Group (SPG) and Nagpur Police did a full rehearsal of the security arrangements. The PM’s convoy will have 20 special vehicles, including VIP security vehicles and vehicles equipped with Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCEID) jammers.
