Lucknow: The nomination process is underway for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. The political temperature of the state has now become election-oriented and in this election atmosphere, a meeting has increased the political heat. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat have met in Mathura. Officially, it is being said about this meeting that CM Yogi has invited the Sangh chief to attend the Maha Kumbh. During this meeting that lasted for 45 minutes, was the discussion limited only to the invitation to the Maha Kumbh?
This meeting of UP CM Yogi Adityanath with the Sangh chief lasted for about 45 minutes. According to sources, in this meeting, which is considered very important, the politics of the state was also discussed. During CM Yogi’s meeting with the Sangh chief, there was a discussion about the use of volunteers associated with the Sangh in the by-elections and both the leaders also discussed the feedback received from the Sangh. Sources say that the Sangh chief assured CM Yogi that the volunteers will work shoulder to shoulder with the BJP in the UP by-elections on the lines of Haryana and will provide full support.
In fact, CM Yogi has made the by-elections of nine seats in UP a matter of prestige. The by-elections are also being considered as a litmus test of CM Yogi’s popularity. It is also being said that these by-elections are completely CM Yogi’s election. This is the reason why CM Yogi, on the one hand, is keeping an eye on every seat going to the by-elections, is seen active from deciding the strategy to the campaign front, on the other hand, he himself has come to the front regarding the coordination between the BJP and the Sangh. It is being discussed that during the meeting with the Sangh chief, CM Yogi also talked about coordination between the Sangh and the BJP.
When the BJP was successful in creating history with its third consecutive victory in the recent elections of Haryana, the credit for this was given to the active role of the Sangh. It was believed that such results were possible due to the Sangh working shoulder to shoulder. Now the sourness in the relationship between the Sangh and BJP before the 2024 general elections seems to be reducing.
It is worth noting that immediately after the 2024 results, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was on a visit to Gorakhpur. During that time there were reports of a secret meeting of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with the Sangh chief. However, no one confirmed it then and it was assumed that there was no formal meeting between the Sangh chief and the UP CM in Gorakhpur. Now this meeting of CM Yogi is also being seen from the perspective that ‘all is well’ between the Sangh-BJP and Yogi.
