New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during his address in the Lok Sabha that Article 370 was an obstacle in the unity of the country, so we abolished it. During this, he said that India’s democracy has been very rich. It is deeply rooted in our culture and tradition.
India’s democracy has inspired the whole world. The Prime Minister said that India has achieved extraordinary achievements in 75 years. Democracy has given us the strength to overcome every challenge and move forward.
PM Modi said that India is very soon moving towards becoming the third largest economic power in the world. The biggest requirement for the accomplishment of this resolution is the unity of India. But I have to say with great sadness that after independence, due to distorted mentality or selfishness, the biggest blow was on the basic spirit of the unity of the country. We celebrate diversity, but people who grew up with a slave mentality kept finding contradictions in diversity.
Prime Minister Modi said that efforts were made to sow such poisonous seeds in diversity, which would hurt unity. Article-370 was an obstacle in the unity of the country, so we abolished Article-370.
In the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister said that GST has a huge contribution to economic unity, we know that it has happened many times in the country that there was electricity in a part of the country, but there was no supply. We implemented ‘One Nation One Grid’. He said that we have given a lot of emphasis to mother tongue in the new education policy, we have respected many languages in the direction of classical language.
Referring to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, Prime Minister Modi called it a symbol of the government’s commitment towards women’s empowerment. He said that this Act will prove to be a milestone in giving women more opportunities in political participation.
