Pakistan: Major attack in Balochistan, 10 Pakistani soldiers killed in IED blast

Islamabad. There has been a major attack on the Pakistani Army in Balochistan. The Baloch Liberation Army has claimed that it has attacked the Pakistani Army in Margat area near Quetta and killed 10 soldiers. According to BLA, this attack was carried out through a remote-controlled improvised explosive device, in which the army vehicle was completely destroyed.

This area has been the center of activities of Baloch rebels for a long time. There is no official statement from the Pakistani Army regarding the attack. The Baloch Liberation Army has been fighting an armed struggle for the last several years demanding independence of Balochistan.

The Baloch Liberation Army is continuously attacking
Let us tell you that terrorist attacks have been taking place continuously in Pakistan in the recent past. Last month, there was a terrorist attack on an army convoy going from Quetta to Taftan, in which seven soldiers were killed and 21 were injured. Taking responsibility for this attack, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed the death of 90 Pakistani soldiers.

BLA had hijacked the train
Earlier on March 11, the Jaffar Express going from Quetta to Peshawar was hijacked by BLA rebels. This train was to reach Sibi at 1.30 pm. But the attack took place in Mashfaq Tunnel of Bolan. This attack was carried out by BLA with complete planning. BLA fighters were already lying in ambush. BLA had prepared its most deadly fighters Majeed Brigade and Fateh for the attack.

What is BLA?
The Baloch Liberation Army was formed in the 1970s but in between this organization became inactive for some time. It re-established itself in 2000. Many people in Balochistan believe that after the India-Pakistan partition, they wanted to live as an independent country, but they were included in Pakistan without their consent.

The Baloch Liberation Army wants independence for Balochistan. According to an estimate, the current military strength of BLA is said to be 6000 fighters. Majeed Brigade is its special suicide squad, which has more than 100 suicide attackers. The number of women among them is also quite high.
