Defence, military, naval and air force advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi have been asked to leave the country within 7 days. At the same time, India has called back advisors from its High Commission in Pakistan.

On 19 September 1960, an agreement was signed between the two countries regarding the water of 6 rivers. This is called the Indus Water Treaty. According to the agreement, India got the rights to Ravi, Beas and Sutlej, while Pakistan was allowed to use Indus, Jhelum and Chenab. The purpose of this treaty was that there should be no conflict between the two countries over water.

After this treaty, there have been many bitternesses between the two countries. Meanwhile, along with terrorist attacks, India has also fought three wars with Pakistan.
