Nagpur. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that politics is an ‘ocean of dissatisfied souls’, where every person is unhappy and aspires for a higher position than his current position. On the occasion of the release of the book ’50 Golden Rules of Life’ in Nagpur on Sunday, Gadkari said that life is a game of compromises, constraints, limitations and contradictions.
The special thing is that this statement has come at a time when discussions are going on about the post of Chief Minister in Maharashtra. Even after a bumper victory in the assembly elections, the Mahayuti has not been able to choose the CM yet. There are reports that the BJP will keep the post of Chief Minister with itself. At the same time, two other parties, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party, may get the Deputy CM. At present, nothing has been said officially about this.
The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said life is full of challenges and problems, whether one is in family, social, political or corporate life, and one must understand the “art of living” to face them.
Recalling an event in Rajasthan, the minister said, “Politics is an ocean of dissatisfied souls, where every person is unhappy… one who becomes a councillor is unhappy because he did not get a chance to become an MLA and an MLA is unhappy because he could not get a ministerial berth.”
The one who becomes a minister is unhappy because he did not get a good ministry and he could not become the chief minister and the chief minister is stressed because he does not know when the high command will ask him to step down,” the BJP leader said. He said problems in life pose big challenges and facing them and moving on is the “art of living”.
Gadkari said in his political life he remembers a quote from former US President Richard Nixon’s autobiography, which says, “A man is not finished when he is defeated.” He is finished when he gives up.’
The Union Minister emphasised on good human values and sanskars for a happy life. He also highlighted the importance of ‘person, party and party philosophy’ while sharing his ideals and rules of living life and succeeding.
