Ujjain: Youth leader of Ujjain Amit Sharma died of a silent attack at the age of 39. Whoever heard this news was stunned. Just three days ago, Amit Sharma had celebrated his birthday with great enthusiasm. Amit Sharma was the son of former councilor Ashok Sharma living in Neelganga area of Ujjain.
When his health suddenly deteriorated at home, he was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Amit Sharma’s friend Pappu Bourasi told that Amit Sharma used to exercise regularly and was active in the field of social service since student politics. Amit Sharma had held state level responsibilities on many important posts in NSUI. After this, he was a state officer on important posts of Youth Congress.
After this, he was made the secretary of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee. People who knew Amit Sharma could not believe that a physically fit youth could also have a silent attack. Former Ujjain MP Premchand Guddu said that this news is shocking. He too could not believe it for a long time after getting information about this incident. Guddu said that he knew Amit for 25 years. He was a hardworking and body conscious leader since his student days.
Amit Sharma was a seasoned leader as well as a sportsperson. He participated in many sports competitions in school and college and also won medals. Amit Sharma’s birthday was on 28 August, during which a large number of youth celebrated his birthday. Today, his friends and supporters joined his last journey. People associated with Amit Sharma’s family told that his parents had gone to Rajasthan for some work. As soon as they got the news of Amit’s deteriorating health, they immediately left for Ujjain. However, by the time they reached Ujjain, the news of Amit Sharma’s death had reached them.
