‘Men are not ATMs…’, husbands protest, call themselves wife victims, demand for formation of men’s commission

Surat: Wife-victimized husbands protested in Surat, Gujarat, regarding the suicide case of Bangalore engineer Atul Subhash. The protesters raised the issue of misuse of the rights given to women in the law with placards in their hands and demanded the formation of a commission for men. The protesters said that concrete steps should be taken to provide justice to men harassed by false cases.

According to the information, this protest was done at Athvan Lines Circle in Surat city. Actually, Bangalore engineer Atul Subhash had made a video before committing suicide and accused his wife of harassing him. A new debate has started regarding Atul Subhash suicide case. There is a discussion about the misuse of the separate rights given to women in the law.

The protesters at Athvan Lines Circle protested against Atul Subhash’s suicide case by carrying placards. Some of the protesting wife-victim husbands had written ‘Men’s Rights are Human Rights’ on a placard, while some had written the statistics of suicide cases of men from 2014 to 2022.

Some were requesting the government for a men’s commission, while some had written ‘Fake case is a crime against humanity’. Some people protested by writing ‘Safe Family Save Nation’. Some placards had written ‘Man Not ATM’ written on them. The protesters expressed the pain of men in their own way.

Chirag Bhatia of Surat was also a part of the protest. He said that Atul Subhash committed suicide because of a fake case. We are protesting about the same. Atul Subhash should get justice and a proper law should be made for men. This is happening today. Many women are filing fake cases against men. Even if it is proved in the court that a case was filed wrongly, there is no provision of punishment for women in justice.

Chirag said that we want a commission for men to be formed so that men can get justice. Here, all the victims, their wives have filed fake cases against them. We are facing a lot of problems in the court. Even where it is not our fault, we have to prove it in the court. Wrong has been done to us. We are paying maintenance, despite this, the wife is not letting us meet the children.

Chirag further said that money is being demanded from us in the name of settlement. This is illegal extortion, which is being collected from men in the name of gender equality. Mothers and sisters are being tortured in our house too. Our family has gone through mental harassment, which cannot be described.
