New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu has approved the Gallantry Awards to 93 personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces on the eve of Republic Day. Out of these, 11 awards have been given posthumously. Major Manjeet and Naik Dilwar Khan have been awarded the Kirti Chakra. Let us tell you that Naik Dilwar Khan has been awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously. At the same time, 14 heroes will be awarded the Shaurya Chakra.

Awards will be given like this

– 2 Kirti Chakra (1 posthumous),
– 14 Shaurya Chakra (3 posthumous),
– 1 Bar to Army Medal (Gallantry),
– 66 Army Medal (Valour) (7 posthumously)
– 2 Navy Medal (Valour)
– 8 Air Force Medal (Valour)

Approval to give 305 defence decorations
Apart from this, President Murmu also approved to give 305 defence decorations to the armed forces and other personnel. These include 30 Param Vishisht Seva Medal, 5 Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, 57 Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, 10 Yudh Seva Medal, 1 Bar to Army Medal (Loyalty to duty), 15 Air Force Medal (Dedication to duty), 4 Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal and 132 Vishisht Seva Medal.

Kirti Chakra to Major Manjeet and Naik Dilawar Khan
Major Manjeet of the Punjab Regiment will be awarded the Kirti Chakra for killing a terrorist and saving the lives of trapped civilians during an intelligence-based operation in Sopore district of Jammu and Kashmir in April 2024.

At the same time, Naik Dilawar Khan of the Artillery Regiment of the Indian Army has been awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously. He killed a terrorist in July last year during an operation in the Logan area of ​​​​Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, displaying unparalleled courage.
