Maha Kumbh will be in high alert mode on Vasant Panchami, all doctors of the division will be alert

Prayagraj: Doctors of the entire Prayagraj division have been put on high alert regarding the Amrit bath of Vasant Panchami on Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions that keeping in mind the safety and convenience of crores of devotees coming here, all the doctors of the city and division along with Maha Kumbh Nagar will be alert. More than 1200 medical forces are fully prepared in Maha Kumbh Nagar. Which will be present to serve the devotees in the blink of an eye. Apart from this, the entire medical force will be ready in the fair itself, which will leave from here only after February 6.

A backup plan has also been prepared as per the need. A four-member special team of doctors in Maha Kumbh Nagar inspected each hospital in the fair. Along with this, the stock of medicines and machines have also been checked in the sector hospitals built in the fair area. Apart from this, Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital and Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital have also been instructed to be fully alert.

500 staff have been kept on alert mode in Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital. Most of the earlier patients have been discharged from here and 150 beds have been kept in reserve. 60 resident doctors have been kept on alert mode 24 hours a day in SRN and 30 CT scan machines are fully ready here, so that all tests including MRI, ultrasound can be done if needed. Along with this, a blood bank of 200 units has also been prepared in SRN. The arrangements available for the devotees here have also been connected to the alarm system.


Nodal medical establishment of Mahakumbh Mela, Dr. Gaurav Dubey said that the emergency services of the Yogi government are playing an important role, especially in the ambulance service. If needed, patients will be shifted to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital or Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital (Bailey Hospital). On the bathing of Basant Panchami in Mahakumbh, the medical system in the city, Prayagraj division and Mahakumbh Nagar has been kept on full alert mode. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions that no doctor or medical staff will leave their duty place till February 5. More than 1200 doctors and paramedical staff have been deployed keeping in mind the devotees during the Maha Kumbh.

Additional medical teams have been kept ready as backup for emergencies. Also, all doctors will be deployed in the fair area for 3-4 days. Medicines and medical equipment are being regularly checked in the sector hospitals of the fair area. A four-member team of doctors is inspecting every hospital. This team includes medical system nodal Umakant Sanyal, Chief Medical Superintendent of Central Hospital Dr. Manoj Kaushik, co-nodal medical system Dr. Ram Singh and Maha Kumbh Mela’s nodal medical establishment Dr. Gaurav Dubey.

The safety and health of the devotees is the priority of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Comprehensive health arrangements and adequate medical force are fully prepared to protect the devotees. These include a state-of-the-art central hospital with 100 beds, two sub-central hospitals with 25 beds, eight sector hospitals with 20 beds and two infectious disease hospitals with 20 beds each. Along with this, 10 first aid posts with one bed each are also active.

According to Dr. Santosh Singh, PRO of Motilal Nehru Medical College, we are fully prepared for the Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami. Every possible medical facility will be provided to the devotees. More than 500 medical staff have been kept on alert mode in Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital. Apart from this, 150 beds have been reserved. Most of the patients have been discharged. Apart from this, 60 resident doctors will be on duty 24 hours. All investigation facilities including 30 CT scan machines, MRI, ultrasound are available. A blood bank of 200 units is ready, which has been connected to the alarm system.

At the same time, more than 50 ambulances are ready for emergency. Apart from this, SDRF, NDRF and police teams are also assisting in medical assistance. Accommodation and food arrangements have been made for doctors and medical staff at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital so that they can be available for immediate service. All employees have been instructed to stay within the hospital premises.
