Bhopal: A big decision has come from the court in a high profile murder case in Chhattisgarh, in which the son and daughter-in-law of Pyarelal Kanwar, who was the Deputy CM of undivided Madhya Pradesh and later also active in Chhattisgarh politics, have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Because this case is related to the triple murder that happened in Pyarelal Kanwar’s family itself, where his son Harish Kanwar, daughter-in-law Sumitra Kanwar and daughter Ashi Kanwar were brutally murdered, this verdict was given by the Korba District and Sessions Court in this case.
In fact, three years ago in Korba, late Pyarelal Kanwar’s daughter Harish Kanwar, daughter-in-law Sumitra Kanwar and daughter Ashi Kanwar were murdered. The special thing is that this murder was carried out by Pyarelal Kanwar’s elder son Harbhajan Kanwar, his wife and brother-in-law, there were a total of five accused in this case, who have been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Korba District Court. Three years ago, this whole matter became a topic of discussion in Korba.
On 21 April 2021, in Bhainsma village under Urga police station area, Pyarelal Kanwar’s son Harish Kanwar, wife Sumitra Kanwar and daughter Ashi Kanwar were killed in the house early in the morning, all three were brutally murdered. As soon as the police came to know about the incident, the then Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Tamradhwaj Sahu took strict action in the case and the police arrested the main accused of the murder, Harbhajan Kanwar, then Tamradhwaj Sahu had told that this murder happened due to money transactions.
After three years, now in this case, the court has sentenced five accused, Pyarelal Kanwar’s elder son Harbhajan Singh Kanwar, his wife Dhankunwar and brother-in-law Parmeshwar Kanwar, besides Parmeshwar’s friends Ramprasad Mannewar and Surendra Singh Kanwar to life imprisonment. Let us tell you that Pyarelal Kanwar has been the Deputy CM in undivided Madhya Pradesh, he was considered a veteran leader of Congress.
After the formation of Congress government in Madhya Pradesh in 1993, Digvijay Singh became the CM, after which he made Subhash Yadav and Pyarelal Kanwar the Deputy CM. Pyarelal Kanwar was also the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Madhya Pradesh till 1985, apart from this, he was also the Minister of State for Finance in the government in 1985, while later he became the Deputy CM, even after the formation of Chhattisgarh, he remained active in the state politics.
