Bhopal. Mohan Sarkar of Madhya Pradesh is busy in preparations to curb the copy mafia. Actually, the state government is going to increase the punishment of those who cheat in mass and leak papers. To increase the punishment, the government is going to make necessary amendments in the Madhya Pradesh Recognized Examination Act. This law was made in 1937.
This punishment can be given for leaking the paper
There is talk of changing the punishment given in the case of paper leak. That is, if someone leaks the paper, he can be sentenced to life imprisonment. Also, up to one crore rupees may have to be paid as a fine.
How far has the work reached
Necessary amendments are being discussed in the Madhya Pradesh Recognized Examination Act, the examination law made in 1937. The draft of the amended law is ready. It is yet to get the approval of the Law Department and the Cabinet. After this, it will be passed by the Assembly and implemented.
Possibility of help in preventing leaks and scams
If this happens, all the examinations of MP Board, MPPSC and Staff Selection Board will come under its purview. In the past years, many scams and leaks related to examinations have come to light in MP. Its strict implementation will help in curbing them.
