‘Killer’ bride… got her husband killed on the 15th day of marriage, called shooters with the money received as ‘Muh Dikhai’!

Auraiya: In Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man named Dilip was murdered barely 15 days after marriage. This murder was plotted by none other than Dilip’s newly wedded wife Pragati along with her lover Anurag. At present, the police have arrested three accused in the case.

In fact, Pragati was married to businessman Dilip on 5 March 2025. But Pragati loved someone else. Her lover’s name is Anurag. Both were in a relationship for the last four years. Pragati wanted to get Anurag at any cost. Anurag was also ready to go to any extent for Pragati. In such a situation, Pragati hatched a horrifying conspiracy to get her husband out of the way.

Husband murdered 15 days after marriage
Mainpuri resident businessman Dilip (24) was married to Pragati, a resident of Phaphund in Auraiya. Dilip was shot on 19 March, 15 days after the marriage. He died during treatment. The police engaged in the investigation made a sensational disclosure on Monday. The police told that the conspiracy of this murder was hatched by the wife along with her lover.

It is being told that the money that Pragati got in the ‘Mooh Dikhai’ and other rituals was used to hire the shooters. A total of two lakh rupees were given to the shooter. First Pragati gave the money to Anurag, then Anurag gave it to the shooter. The police have arrested the accused wife, her lover Anurag and a shooter.

Dilip was found lying injured in the field
On 19 March, a young man was found lying in a wheat field in a seriously injured condition near Palia village of Sahar police station area of ​​Auraiya. He was shot. The villagers immediately informed the police about this. On reaching the spot, the police took the young man to the hospital, where he was referred to a higher center due to his critical condition. The young man died during treatment. The deceased youth was identified as Dilip.

Sahar police station, surveillance team and SOG team were deployed to investigate this case. Police searched CCTV footage, in which a suspicious person was seen taking Pragati’s husband on a bike. In such a situation, the police took the lover and Pragati into custody and interrogated them strictly. On which both of them revealed the secret.

This truth came out in the investigation
During police interrogation, Pragati confessed to the conspiracy to kill her husband. Investigation revealed that Pragati’s lover Anurag Yadav was a resident of the same village and both of them had a love affair. The family was against this relationship, so Pragati could not get married to Anurag. However, even after marriage, Pragati was madly in love with Anurag. This was the reason that she hatched a murder conspiracy with Anurag to get her husband out of the way.

‘Deal of death’ was fixed for two lakhs
Pragati gave Anurag one lakh rupees to kill her husband, after which Anurag along with his partner Ramji Nagar fixed the deal for two lakh rupees. On March 19, when Pragati’s husband was returning from Kannauj, the accused stopped him at a hotel near the canal, made him sit on the bike on some pretext and took him to a deserted place and killed him.

Accused arrested, these items recovered
At present, the police have arrested Ramji Nagar and Anurag. 315 bore pistols and live cartridges have been recovered from them. After thorough interrogation, Pragati was also arrested. Now the police is searching for other accused involved in this conspiracy.

This is what the police said
According to the police, they received information about a person lying injured in the field on March 19. He was admitted to the Community Health Center in Bidhuna and his family members were informed. The injured Dilip was later taken to Saifai Hospital and then to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and then to Agra. When his condition deteriorated, his family admitted him to a hospital in Auraiya on March 20. However, he died on the night of March 21.

Police said that based on CCTV camera footage, the accused Pragati, 22, her lover Anurag alias Manoj and the killer Ramji Nagar were identified and arrested. Superintendent of Police (Auraiya) Abhijeet R Shankar said that Pragati and Anurag had conspired to eliminate Dilip. They had paid a contract killer Rs 2 lakh to kill Dilip.
