New Delhi: The survey conducted before the presidential election to be held in the US next month has increased the tension of the Democrats. According to the new poll, Democrats candidate Kamala Harris is lagging behind Republican candidate Donald Trump. This is being considered a setback for Harris. Former President and Democratic leader Barack Obama also seems to be worried about the black people showing less enthusiasm for Harris’ candidature. After the latest surveys, Obama himself has taken charge of the election campaign.
Meanwhile, as the campaign is progressing, the contest is becoming Trump vs Obama. Actually, American black woman of Asian origin Kamala Harris has been nominated by Obama’s party Democrats in place of Biden in the election. Seeing the tough challenge Harris is getting from Trump, Barack Obama is going among the people and asking for votes.
For the last few days, Obama has taken the command of the campaign in his hands and is seen campaigning everywhere. Obama is asking for votes for Harris by comparing the policies of his regime with Trump’s rule. Addressing the blacks at a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Obama said that you have many reasons and excuses, which I also understand and I have a problem with it.
Barack Obama said at the Pennsylvania event, “I want to speak some truth, because there have been reports that people are less enthusiastic about Harris than about his candidacy and some black people are thinking of staying out of the election. A part of this is forcing me to think and here I am talking directly to men, a part of which forces me to think that you are not realizing the idea of a woman as president and are coming up with other options and other reasons.”
Actually, the US presidential election is very important not only for America but also for the world. As the election is progressing, Obama’s activism is also increasing. Last Wednesday itself, he had recorded 21 videos for the Harris campaign. Obama’s strong presence is also being seen in the advertisements of Democratic Senate candidates. He is also giving many interviews. It is clear from this that now the election is becoming Trump vs. Obama.
The former president targeted Trump and said that Trump’s tendency to insult people is not his real strength. Obama said, “You are thinking of supporting or sitting out someone who has a history of insulting you, because you think it is a sign of strength, is this what it means to be a man? Insulting women? This is not acceptable.”
In fact, the survey shows that Kamala Harris is leading among women of all castes, but she is having difficulty in getting votes from men including African Americans and Hispanics, while Donald Trump is moving ahead rapidly among these sections and people are supporting him fiercely. Trump hit back at Obama through a post on his social media network on Friday and said that Obama has once again insulted Harris. He wrote, “Obama believes there is no enthusiasm for Kamala, especially among black men. I think Obama will vote for me because he does not like a woman with a very low IQ (Kamala Harris)!”
Pennsylvania is a state where Obama won the 2008 and 2012 presidential races, but Trump won in 2016. Biden won here by a very narrow margin in 2020. This time it seems to be a close contest here once again.
