Jio issued warning for crores of users

New Delhi: Nowadays, cases of cyber crime are increasing rapidly. Cyber ​​​​thugs clean out the account in minutes by making a call from thousands of kilometers away. Amidst the increasing cases of spam calls and virtual arrest, Reliance Jio has now issued an alert for its customers. According to the Times of India report, Jio has sent a message to its customers asking them to be careful about calls and messages coming from +92 code.

Jio says that if any call or message comes from +92 code, think before picking it. If you are getting calls or messages from this code, then immediately inform about it on 1930. Also, register a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in. Jio said that cyber thugs sitting abroad have become active. They call people posing as police officers, bank employees etc. Such cases are increasing continuously. In Kerala also, people were intimidated in the name of virtual arrest. Fraudsters carried out several online frauds by posing as fake CBI officers.

An attempt was made to dupe famous music director Jerry Amal Dev as well. Dev received a call. The person on the other end introduced himself as a CBI officer. In one case, an attempt was made to dupe him by threatening him with arrest. The fraudster asked him to deposit Rs 170000 in his account. When Dev went to his bank to withdraw money, he found out that an attempt was made to dupe him by making a fake call. After which his money was saved.

Jerry said that the scam was detected in time. Otherwise he would have regretted it. Recently, such cases have increased. People are extorted by threatening them with arrest. In view of which, Jio has now issued an alert to its customers. The highest number of cases have been reported in Kerala.
