Three terrorists have been killed in the encounter. The bodies of the terrorists have been seen through drones. At the same time, three senior grade constables of Jammu and Kashmir Police have been martyred. These include Tariq Ahmed resident of Reasi, Jaswant Singh resident of Londi Hiranagar and Balwinder Singh resident of Kanha Chak.

DSP Dheeraj Katoch and four soldiers have been injured in the firing. Head Constable Jagbir Singh, in-charge of Sufan post, has also been injured, but his whereabouts are not known. Among the other injured is a Para Commando soldier and two SPOs. The Para Commandos have been airlifted to the military hospital.

The terrorists who escaped from the cordon after the encounter started near Sanyal village of Hira Nagar on Sunday were surrounded again on Thursday. This time the security forces have started the operation by surrounding them in Ambe Naal on the banks of Ujj river which crosses the international border from the mountains. It is believed that this is a group of five to ten terrorists who have infiltrated recently. However, it could not be confirmed how many terrorists are surrounded in the encounter.

The search operation had started from Wednesday night itself
According to sources, more than two hundred soldiers of SOG and CRPF started the operation to search for terrorists in the area under the leadership of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena at 2 o’clock on Wednesday night. On Thursday, with the first ray of light, the security forces sensed the presence of terrorists in the area and started the siege. As soon as the terrorists came face to face at eight in the morning, firing started.

The firing was so fierce that it took a lot of time to evacuate the injured
As soon as the firing started in the morning, information came to light that some soldiers were injured. But the firing was so fierce that it took a lot of time to take the injured out of there and take them to the hospital. The terrorists were continuously firing at the injured, so it took a lot of time to take them out.

Around 11:15 am, SPO Bharat Chalotra, resident of Akhnoor, was admitted to GMC Kathua. Bharat was shot in the face. The bullet was removed through an operation. At 5 pm, SPO Happy Sharma, resident of Bhagwana Chak, Hiranagar, was brought to GMC Kathua for treatment. Happy Sharma was injured in the grenade attack. After first aid, he was referred to GMC Jammu.

Four ambulances deployed… CMO also present at the spot
Dr. Vijay Rana, CMO Kathua, who reached the spot, said that two injured have been given treatment at GMC Kathua. A para commando has suffered an injury in his hand. There is information about some more people being injured as well. But it has been learned that they could not be brought out of the encounter area. Four ambulances have been kept deployed at the spot.

A blockade has been put in place from the Juthana side of Kathua. Blockades have been put on the escape routes from Dharalta and Sundarikot of Billawar. Security forces have also cordoned off the forests of Sufan.

This place is an important point…security forces do not want any mistake
Ambe Naal is a very important point. Security forces know very well that if terrorists escape from here, they can go towards the mountains. This will give them many hiding places. There will also be many routes to escape. If this happens, there will be problems in killing them. Therefore, the strategy of the security forces is to kill all the terrorists in a limited area.

20 kg explosives dropped from drones at the place from where the terrorists were firing
Helicopters were used to monitor the elimination of terrorists. Before dusk, the security forces intensified the attack. Drones were used to eliminate the possibility of terrorists escaping. About 20 kg explosives were dropped through drones at the place from where the terrorists were hiding and firing. The firing stopped at around 8 pm. Now we are waiting for the morning. A large number of security forces have deployed. The search for the terrorists will be intensified as soon as the morning arrives.
