Indore-Ujjain elevated metro corridor will cost 10 thousand crores

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has completed its survey, 8 stations will have to be built in the 47 km metro project

The metro project is coming to the city, while as per the Chief Minister’s wish, Vande Metro will be run between Indore-Ujjain, apart from that, light metro will also be run on the elevated corridor. This was also announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in Indore recently and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also conducted a survey for this and according to its report, it will cost about 10 thousand crores rupees and its distance will be 47 kilometers, in which 8 stations will be built.

The Chief Minister has however announced to complete the metro project before Simhastha-2028. However, sources say that if the metro is to be run on the elevated corridor between Indore-Ujjain before Simhastha, then work will have to be done on it at a fast pace from now on. However, its approval will have to be taken from the Central Government and along with that the amount of 10 thousand crores to be spent will also have to be arranged. The Center has also given permission for the Indore-Ujjain Metro project which is currently underway and then the Asian Development Bank has given a loan. That is, to run the metro on the elevated corridor, many permissions will have to be taken and work will have to be started immediately with the tender process. This elevated corridor will be built on the current four lane between Indore-Ujjain which is now being converted into a six lane. That is, this elevated corridor will be built for the metro from Bhonrasla to Nanakheda, which will be 47 kilometers long and 8 stations will also be built in between. Some time ago, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was given the responsibility of its survey and recently also this team came to Indore-Ujjain and completed its survey work and yesterday in Bhopal, in the meeting of the cabinet committee constituted for Simhastha, which was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, this received survey was also discussed. Apart from this, it has also been announced to run Vande Metro on the existing rail line between Indore-Ujjain. However, this work will be done easily before Simhastha, because only new trains will have to be run for this. All the facilities from the station are already present. However, it will definitely take time for the elevated corridor. However, if the light metro runs between Indore-Ujjain, it will be of great benefit. The Chief Minister has also announced to develop Indore as a metro-politan region, in which Ujjain, Dhar, Pithampur, Dewas are also being included. At the same time, residential colonies are also developing rapidly on Indore-Ujjain road. Getting metro facility will also make it easier for those who commute up and down.
