Doda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his first election rally in Jammu and Kashmir today. Addressing this rally held in Doda of the state, PM Modi fiercely attacked PDP, Congress and National Conference. During this, the PM also raised the issue of alleged assault on India Today journalist by Congress workers in America.
PM Modi said, ‘They claim to run a shop of love but a journalist of our country was treated cruelly by Congress in America. A son of India was insulted in America. He has told the whole incident. Those who claim to be champions of freedom of expression, have done cruelty.’
PM said – The word constitution does not suit your mouth
The Prime Minister said, ‘I read in the newspapers today that our independent media is an important pillar in democracy. Today I read a news, the kind of atrocities that were done with a representative of an Indian newspaper who went to America, he has put his whole story in front of the public. The way a son of India, that too a journalist and that too a journalist working to protect the Indian Constitution was locked in a room on American soil, is this a matter that highlights the limits of the Constitution in democracy? Are you increasing India’s prestige by beating up an Indian journalist on American soil? The word Constitution does not suit your mouth.’
Gave the example of Himachal to the people
During this, PM Modi appealed to the people present in the rally to be cautious of the false promises of Congress and said that the way Congress runs the government can be seen in Himachal Pradesh, where they made such promises to the people to gain power that the entire state has now been ruined. PM said that today in Himachal everyone is on the road, work has stopped and employees are not getting salaries.
