In Pakistan gunmen stopped vehicles and killed 23 Punjabis in Balochistan

On Monday, armed men shot dead at least 23 people after stopping passenger vehicles coming from Punjab province in Musakhel district. The attackers stopped the vehicles by standing on the inter-provincial highway in Rarsham and then shot dead the people after getting them down and checking their identity. Apart from this, the armed men also set fire to 10 vehicles.

The attackers fled after carrying out the incident

Senior police officer Ayub Achakzai said that the attackers carried out this attack by stopping the bus, truck and other vehicles coming on the highway. After the incident, all the attackers fled from the spot. They are being searched.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in ​​separate statements described the attack as “barbaric” and vowed not to spare those involved in the attack under any circumstances.

Baluchistan Liberation Army had issued warning

According to police, the attack came hours after the banned Baluchistan Liberation Army separatist group warned people to stay away from highways. However, no one has claimed responsibility for it yet.

He said separatists have earlier also killed workers and others from the eastern Punjab region to force them to leave the province. The matter is yet to be resolved.
