New Delhi: There is tremendous tension in Israel and Lebanon. There are continuous attacks on each other from both sides. Meanwhile, Israel’s Home Front Command (force responsible for the safety of citizens) has imposed new restrictions on citizens living in the capital Tel Aviv and especially towards the north region.
Alerts issued for Israeli citizens
The Home Front Command announced the new restrictions and said that schools and offices can remain open only if they have shelters nearby where they can be reached as soon as possible in case of any attack. Restrictions have also been imposed on gathering of people. According to the instructions, more than 300 people have been banned from staying inside a building while more than 30 people have been banned from staying together outside. At the same time, the beaches near the Lebanese border have been completely closed for people.
Emergency in Israel for 48 hours
In view of the current situation, the Israeli Prime Minister called an emergency meeting. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant declared an emergency for the next 48 hours, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chaired a high-level meeting to address the escalating situation in the north. According to the report, Netanyahu said during the meeting, “We will make every effort to protect our country, bring the residents of the north back to their homes safely. Whoever harms us, we will harm them.”
Let us tell you that the Israeli army carried out a series of air strikes on the bases of Iran-backed organization Hezbollah. In response, Hezbollah fired more than 320 Katyusha rockets from Lebanon towards Israeli territory. Taking responsibility for the shower of missiles and explosive-laden drones, Hezbollah said that it had launched the attack in response to the killing of its military commander Fuad Shukr.
