Gujarat: PM Modi paid floral tribute at the Statue of Unity, administered the oath of national unity

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a special program organized on the occasion of National Unity Day in Gujarat. As part of this program, he paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity located in Kevadia on his birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Modi reached the Statue of Unity at around 7:15 am and paid floral tribute there. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi administered oath to the people remembering the unique contribution of Sardar Patel. He said that we should maintain the unity, integrity and national dedication of the country. Along with this, PM Modi called upon the people to take a pledge to ensure contribution to the internal security of the country.

While administering the oath on the occasion of Unity Day, Modi said – I swear with truth that I will dedicate myself to the unity, integrity and security of the nation and will also try my best to spread this message among my countrymen.

He further said- I am taking this oath in the spirit of unity of my country, which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also pledge with true sincerity to contribute to ensure the security of my country. In the program, the Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of Sardar Patel’s vision and leadership. Inspired citizens to follow his ideals.

After the swearing-in, the Unity Day Parade was inaugurated. This parade includes police personnel from 9 states and 1 Union Territory, 4 Central Armed Police Forces squads, NCC cadets and a marching band with 16 marching contingents.

To increase the attraction of this parade, spectacular programs like NSG’s Hell March contingent, rally of women and men bikers of BSF and CRPF, martial arts performance of BSF soldiers, pipe band show of school children and ‘Surya Kiran’ flypast of Indian Air Force were also included.

The event was organised on the occasion of National Unity Day, in which Sardar Patel’s hard work and dedication was appreciated.

PM Modi arrived in Gujarat on Wednesday, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 280 crore in Ekta Nagar.
