New Delhi/Ahmedabad. The Congress National Convention is starting from today on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting will be held today on the first day of the two-day session. Congress leaders are expecting a big decision regarding Priyanka Gandhi in this CWC meeting. Congress sources have confirmed this and said that a decision can be taken to bring Priyanka Gandhi into a more active role and give her a bigger responsibility before the important election cycle.
Shashi Tharoor, who reached Ahmedabad to attend the Congress convention, has said that we will discuss the strategy to deal with the current situation in the country. Regarding the tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump, Shashi Tharoor said that no one is able to understand this. We hope that India has been successful in getting relief from bilateral talks with America. He said that we will just have to bear it (tariff).
The CWC meeting will be held on the first day of the two-day Congress event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The CWC meeting will start at 11 am at Sardar Smarak Shahibaug. Congress leaders are scheduled to visit Sabarmati Ashram at 5 pm. Congress leaders will attend the prayer meeting at Sabarmati Ashram. Cultural programs are to be organized at the Riverfront Event Center on the banks of the Sabarmati River from 7.45 pm. Mallika Sarabhai and other folk artists will perform in it.
Second day convention
The convention will be held on the second day of the Congress meeting in Ahmedabad. The national convention will begin on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad at 9 am on April 9. Congress has named this convention as Nyay Path. Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera has said that the Congress party will walk on the path of justice and will gain public support. Just like the Congress worked hard for independence, the party will work hard in Gujarat and return to power. It is noteworthy that the party’s convention is going to be held in Gujarat after 64 years.
