Four suspects seen in Kathua, security forces cordoned off the area, search operation continues

Kathua: Security forces have launched a major search operation in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. This action is being taken after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 people were killed. The area has been put on high alert amid growing security concerns.

According to sources, this search operation was started when a woman informed the police that she had seen four suspicious people in the area. After the woman’s information, there was a stir in the area and the security forces immediately swung into action.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police has reached the spot and is conducting an intensive search operation in collaboration with the local police. The area has been cordoned off and every person coming and going is being closely monitored.

According to the information, this area is located near the international border and infiltration attempts have been seen here earlier as well. Security agencies suspect that the suspects may be planning a big conspiracy. Police and army teams are carrying out the search operation very carefully and strategically. The help of drones and sniffer dogs is also being taken.

Security forces have also started a search operation in Karimabad area of ​​Pulwama. This area has been famous for the presence of terrorists earlier and news of encounters has been coming from here many times. At present, the entire area has been sealed and the scope of the search is being continuously increased.

After the Pahalgam attack, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi himself has reached the Northern Command Headquarters in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. According to army officials, General Dwivedi is being given detailed information about the security situation in Poonch-Rajouri districts and southern areas of Pir Panjal Range on the LoC. He is taking stock of the current situation and reviewing the security preparations.
