Ambedkarnagar. A case of fraud has come to light in UP regarding the land of former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh. Someone got the land of the former CM registered fraudulently. Former CM Digvijay Singh was also not aware of the fake registration of the land. When the administration came to know about this matter, there was a stir. Investigation has been started in a hurry. It is believed that soon the investigation will be completed and necessary action will be started.


The whole matter is of Ramnagar Mahuvar village of Alappur police station area. The land of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh present here was registered fraudulently by other people. According to caretaker Anil Yadav, in 1962, the concerned plot was registered in the name of the mother of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. He died in the year 1986.

In 2024, the inheritance was transferred to the name of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. Meanwhile, some people of the village got the land registered in their name in a fraudulent manner. The caretaker could not even get a hint of this. When the concerned people started the construction work last day, the caretaker came to know about it. He immediately informed the former Chief Minister about the matter as well as the district administration and Alappur police. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the administration immediately swung into action and reached the concerned plot and stopped the construction work. Meanwhile, DM Avinash Singh ordered SDM Alappur to investigate the entire matter. The administration started investigating the matter on Sunday. SDM Alappur Subhash Singh said that the concerned Lekhpal has been instructed to get the records checked. The investigation report will be submitted to the DM soon.

Land sold to retired ASP and others
Ramharak Chauhan, a resident of Kevtala village of Hanswar police station area, in the year 1989, became the power of attorney of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and transferred the land in the name of retired Additional Superintendent of Police Jiyalal, Raj Bahadur sons of Shiv Prasad and Mangali son of Madhu residents of Ramnagar Mahuar. Currently the land is worth about Rs 55 lakh. At the time when the land was sold as the power of attorney of the former Chief Minister, the land was not even in his name. The land was transferred to the name of the former Chief Minister on 18 May 2024. The person who sold the land by becoming the power of attorney has passed away.

Raja Maheshwari Singh had given the land
The land located in Ramnagar Mahuvar village of Alaapur police station area was given to Aparna Devi, mother of former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh, by her brother-in-law Raja Maheshwari Singh of Makarhi state. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s aunt Vimala Devi was married to Raja Maheshwari Singh of Makarhi princely state of the district. Under the Land Acquisition Act, consolidation of the land of the kings started during 1894 to 1975. Under which the government started acquiring the lands of the kings. To save the lands from acquisition, Raja Maheshwari Singh had transferred the land in the name of his sister-in-law, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s mother Aparna Devi.

Those who took the deed of the former CM’s land also bought the land of the Gram Panchayat
Apart from buying the land of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh located in Ramnagar Mahuvar of Alaapur police station area, the buyers have also bought other lands in the village by tampering. According to the allegations, more than five bighas of Gram Panchayat land has also been purchased by tampering with the papers. Due to the involvement of the name of the former Chief Minister in the case, the investigation is being done rapidly. All the papers and documents related to the land are being investigated by the tehsil administration. The tehsil administration has sent a letter to the registry office on Monday for the documents of the time of the sale deed. Meanwhile, the buyers are being accused of tampering with many other lands. The buyers are accused of occupying more than five bighas of land of the Gram Panchayat. After the case of occupying the Gram Panchayat land by tampering came to light, the administration is also expanding the scope of investigation.

On the other hand, when the investigation of the land case of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh started, many more revelations were also made. Retired Additional Superintendent of Police Jiyalal and his brother had transferred their share of land to Rajaram son Badlu, Arjun and Ramraj sons Sumiran resident Ramnagar Mahuvar in the year 1992. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has land with Gata number 1235A area of ​​0.152 hectares in village Ramnagar Mahuvar of Tehsil Alappur area. Earlier this land was registered in the name of his mother Aparna Kumari, who died in the year 1986. Ram Harak Chauhan, a resident of village Kevtala in Hanswar, in 1989, became Mukhtar-e-Aam Digvijay Singh alias Durgvijay Singh and made a deed in the name of Jiyalal and Raj Bahadur sons of Shiv Prasad and Mangali son of Madhu resident of Ramnagar Mahuvar.
