Former Army Chief VK Singh became the Governor of Mizoram, Arif Mohammad Khan was made the Governor of Bihar

New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Odisha Governor Raghubar Das. Also, the President has appointed the Governor of many states. He has expressed happiness by appointing the governors. All these appointments will be effective from the date of assuming charge of their respective offices.

According to the presidential tenure, the President has accepted the resignation of Odisha Governor Raghubar Das and the President has appointed former Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla as the Governor of Manipur. Also, Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has been appointed as the Governor of Odisha.

Apart from this, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has now been appointed as the Governor of Bihar. So Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as the Governor of Kerala. Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has been appointed as the Governor of Odisha.

At the same time, General Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram.

Who is VK Singh
Former Army Chief General VK Singh was today appointed as the Governor of Mizoram by the President of India. He was an MP from Ghaziabad till the last general elections. He is the former Minister of State for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Ministry of Civil Aviation in Modi’s second ministry. He previously served as Minister of State for External Affairs, Minister of State for Development of North-Eastern Region (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Statistics and Program Implementation in Modi 1.0.

Who is Ajay Bhalla
Along with VK Singh, former Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has also been appointed as the Governor of Manipur. He is a retired IAS officer of 1984 batch from Assam Meghalaya cadre. He served as the Home Secretary of India for about five years till 22 August 2024. He hails from Jalandhar.
