  • November 05, 2024

New Delhi: Relations between Canada and India are getting worse day by day. Meanwhile, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given a blunt reply to Canada. Regarding the ongoing developments in Canada, Jaishankar said, ‘Canada has developed a pattern of making allegations without giving any information.’ The Foreign Minister further said, ‘Indian diplomats are being monitored, which is unacceptable. Extremist forces are being given political space in Canada.’

    S. Jaishankar has been vocal on the issue of Canada earlier as well. On October 27 last month, he said that India had raised the issue of organized crime in Canada, but the Canadian government ignored it for a long time. The Canadian government was targeting the High Commissioner and diplomats of India, to which India has responded.

During a program in Pune, Jaishankar had said that whenever it comes to national interest, integrity and sovereignty, India will take strict steps. He had said that the Canadian government targeted our High Commissioner and diplomats, to which we gave an appropriate response.
