Earthquake of same intensity as Delhi felt in Siwan, Bihar, people panicked

Patna: After the country’s capital Delhi, an earthquake of the same intensity (4.0) was felt in Siwan, Bihar. Due to the earthquake, people of Siwan panicked. People ran out of their homes and into open areas. The National Center for Seismology has said that the intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 4.0.

The people of Siwan who felt the tremors of the earthquake said that they felt as if the earth was shaking very strongly. People started alerting their family members and ran out carrying children in their arms or on their shoulders. Many people were seen outside the house for a long time in the fear of aftershocks.

Let us tell you that earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR today itself. The earth of the capital kept shaking for several seconds. People came out of their homes in panic. The intensity of the earthquake in Delhi was also measured to be 4.0. Its epicenter was near Delhi at a depth of 5 kilometers from the earth.

After the Delhi earthquake, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people to be cautious in a post on Twitter, saying, ‘Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas. I appeal to everyone to remain calm and follow safety precautions. Officials are keeping a close watch on the situation.’
