‘Divide Pakistan into two parts, PoK in India…’, Revanth Reddy appeals to PM Modi

    Hyderabad: A candle march was taken out in Hyderabad on Friday in support of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy against the Pahalgam terror attack. Many other leaders including AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Congress leader Salman Khurshid have joined this protest. Talking about supporting the Center in dealing with the situation after the terrorist attack, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a befitting reply to Pakistan and terrorists. He said, “Strict action should be taken, even if it means merging PoK with India.”

    Revanth Reddy, who is leading the candle light rally against the terrorist attack, said, “Decisive action needs to be taken by the central government to prevent incidents like Pahalgam.” He reminded that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had compared the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to Goddess Durga regarding the creation of Bangladesh in 1971.


    ‘No time for compromise, befitting reply…’
    CM Reddy said, “You (PM Modi) remember Durga Mata, take action, whether it is an attack on Pakistan or any other measure. Steps should be taken against Pakistan today. This is not the time to compromise, a befitting reply should be given. Go ahead, we will stand with you. 140 crore Indians are with you.”

    Reddy said, “Divide Pakistan into two parts, merge POK with India. We will stand with you. You are a devotee of Durga Mata. Remember Indira ji.” Speaking in front of Indira Gandhi’s statue, Reddy also said that the Telangana government has expressed condolences to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.

    AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, Telangana Minister, former cricketer and Congress leader Mohammad Azharuddin and other leaders were present on this occasion. International delegates participating in the two-day ‘India Summit’ organised by the Congress government in Telangana also attended the candlelight rally.

    Meanwhile, protests were held at several places in the state against the Pahalgam terror attack. Asaduddin Owaisi distributed black bands at a mosque ahead of Friday prayers and urged people to wear them in protest against the Pahalgam terror attack.

    Owaisi also wore black bands and distributed them at a mosque in Shastripuram, party sources said. Muslim youth staged a protest at the historic Charminar against the terror attack after Friday prayers. Muslims at Begum Bazar here shut their shops and joined a peaceful rally, while protests were also held at Malkajgiri.
