New Delhi. The final declaration of the results of the Haryana Assembly Elections is yet to be made. The latest figures indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time. Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra has advised the Congress to accept the mandate. He has also asked the party to help the elected leaders.
Vadra has shared a story on Instagram story, in which he is seen sitting among the people. He has written below, ‘Accept what the people want and cooperate in the development of the state along with the leaders they have chosen. Think large, think India.’
What are the latest figures saying
The figures of ECI i.e. Election Commission of India till 3:30 pm show that the Bharatiya Janata Party has won 11 seats and is leading on 39. On the other hand, Congress has so far won 14 seats with a lead of 20 seats. Currently, Indian National Lok Dal is leading on 2 seats and Bahujan Samaj Party on 1 seat. 2 independents have also won the elections in the state.
Atmosphere of Congress office changed
According to media reports, celebrations began on Tuesday morning at the Congress headquarters located at 24 Akbar Road in Lutyens area of the capital by bursting crackers, playing drums and distributing jalebis, but by afternoon there was silence there as the main opposition party moved from victory to defeat in Haryana.
The results were shocking for the party leaders and workers who were assuming the victory of Congress in Haryana assembly elections and it was difficult for some workers to digest that Congress lost for the third time in a row against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
