Kangana Ranaut has come under controversy over her film ‘Emergency’. Faridkot’s independent MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa has raised objections to this film. Sarabjit Singh has written a long post on Facebook, in which he said that the film ‘Emergency’ shows the Sikh community in a wrong way, due to which problems can arise in the society.
Sarabjit Singh Khalsa wrote, ‘There are reports that Sikhs are being portrayed in a wrong way in the new film Emergency. Due to this, there is a fear that law and order may deteriorate in the society. If Sikhs are shown as separatists and terrorists in this film, then it is a deep conspiracy. This film is a psychological attack to spread hatred against Sikhs in other countries, which the government should pay attention to and stop.’
He further wrote, ‘News of hate attacks on Sikhs in the country often comes to the fore. In such a situation, this film will also work to incite hatred against the Sikh community. The Sikh community has made huge sacrifices for this country, which have not been fully shown in films. But every attempt to defame Sikhs is casteism here. Objectionable films and songs should be banned to maintain communal harmony and law and order. I always try to stop such anti-social activities by raising my voice to maintain peace in the society.
