Cylinder to everyone for Rs 450 whether they are infiltrators or anyone else

Jharkhand. All India Congress Committee general secretary and party’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir said something in an election rally on Thursday which created controversy. Addressing a public meeting, he said that if his party comes to power, everyone will be given a gas cylinder for Rs 450, whether they are infiltrators or anyone else. After which the angry Bharatiya Janata Party targeted the Congress as well as the state Chief Minister Hemant Soren and said that this shows the politics of appeasement and polarization of the Congress.

The Congress leader said this while addressing an election rally in Chandrapura of Bermo assembly constituency of the state. Here he said, ‘We have promised that as soon as our government is formed, the price of gas cylinder will be only Rs 450 from December 1. This common public, neither Hindu will be seen in it, nor Muslim will be seen, nor infiltrator will be seen, nor anything else will be seen.’

BJP took this statement of Mir with open arms. Sharing the video of his statement on social media, the party wrote, ‘Look… Rahul Gandhi’s agent from Kashmir, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, is saying that cylinders will be given to infiltrators for Rs 450… All this exercise is being done to please the Muslim vote bank.’

The BJP further wrote, ‘You tell me who should have the first right on cheap cylinders… Jharkhandis, but this Congress is planning to snatch your right from you and give it to infiltrators. Be careful… this is not just about a cylinder… water, forest, land are also in their future agenda. Hemant Soren, you also answer… why are you silent on the attack on the rights of the tribals?’

On this statement of Mir, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said in Birni of Giridih district, ‘Congress’s state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir is saying that gas cylinders will be given to infiltrators for Rs 450. My sisters and brothers, today the holy land of Jharkhand is in danger, save it from infiltrators.’ He alleged that lakhs of infiltrators have entered Jharkhand and the government has helped them in getting voter ID cards and ration cards.

In another rally in Bokaro, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘The Congress in-charge has promised to give cylinders to Hindus, Muslims and infiltrators. BJP will not allow the rights of tribals to be handed over to infiltrators.’

On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also raised the problem of infiltration in Giridih today and said, ‘The focus of the JMM government is only on infiltrating infiltrators into the state. These infiltrators come to Jharkhand and marry our girls for the second, third, fourth time and grab their land. People of Jharkhand, form a lotus government here, we promise you, even a bird will not be able to fly here.’

He said, ‘With the JMM government, the time of infiltrators in Jharkhand will also end. BJP will send every single infiltrator out of the state one by one. We will bring such a law, under which you (infiltrators) cannot usurp the land of tribals by marrying a tribal girl or by giving gifts and those who have usurped it, will also get it back.’

The second phase of voting in Jharkhand will be held on November 20. The first phase of voting was held on Wednesday, while the counting of votes will be held on November 23.
