New Delhi: The investigation into the scuffle in Parliament has now started gaining momentum. This case has been transferred from Parliament Street Police Station to Delhi Police Crime Branch. This will now be investigated by the Crime Branch’s Chanakyapuri-based ISC unit.
The investigation into the “scuffle” in the Parliament premises has now gained momentum. Delhi Police Crime Branch has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for investigation which will be of seven members. This case was transferred from Parliament Street Police Station to Delhi Police Crime Branch.
ISC unit will investigate
This case will now be investigated by the Crime Branch’s Chanakyapuri-based ISC unit. The case is of scuffle between MPs inside the Parliament, in which two BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured. Both the leaders are undergoing treatment at RML Hospital.
Complaints were filed from both sides in the case. First three BJP MPs came to the police station and gave a written complaint on which an FIR was registered on Thursday night. A delegation of Congress party also went to the police station and they have also given a complaint. On this complaint, the police say that it is being legally examined.
These members are included in SIT
The Crime Branch has formed an SIT team on Friday night, looking at the seriousness and gravity of the matter. This SIT team of the Crime Branch will include 2 ACPs, 2 Inspectors and 3 Sub Inspectors who will directly report to the DCP. The copy of FIR and investigation of the case related to Rahul Gandhi has not been handed over to the Crime Branch from the Parliament Police Station of New Delhi district, this process will be completed soon. If sources are to be believed, a letter is being written to the Parliament Administration for CCTV footage.
